Maybe I’ll sic “J” from PC on you.

I think the comparison is even easier. Everyone who has a car needs car insurance. Everyone who has a body needs health insurance. It’s not just for the owner of the car/body. Well, they benefit, too. It’s for the good of society.

What exactly do you not like about the bill?

This is a very good post; I think the key is to love all people. That is my mantra; I avoid getting caught up in the politics and dogma of religion. Hence, focus on the joy of being liberal in faith, mind, and spirit. I have long moved past the CofC thing.

Consenting adults should be allowed to get married, or do whatever else they want, provided it doesn’t infringe on the rights of others. Homosexual marriage does not. Poly marriages do not. It’s true that people with heart problems breed. However, I also happen to believe that people who are highly likely to pass deformities or illnesses on to their offspring should either not have children or adopt. I don’t want children, but if i did I would adopt, for that reason.

With roughly 10% of the population homosexual, with additional governments making it legal all the time, and with homosexuals more and more able to enter mainstream career fields, I’d hardly classify it as differing from the accepted standards of society.
